Ball KidS selection
As we prepare for the return of Women's Pro Tennis with the Fed Cup, local tennis juniors have been practicing hard to perfect their professional ballkid skills. With the help of UNCA players and many volunteers, we have been conducting training sessions at the Grove Park Inn.
Over 40 kids tried out for the ballkids squad. We could only keep 20. They represent a wide variety of local schools.
Upcoming practice sessions will be held January 27 2:30pm UNCA vs Lenoir Rhyne at Asheville Racquet Club Downtown & February 3 6-8pm GPI. There will likely be a Thursday February 7 (date may yet change) practice session at the US Cellular Center when the court is down where uniforms can be picked up.
