SSUL Fundraising Distribution Completed

The devastation of hurricane Helene damaged courts and facilities all across WNC. 100% of the proceeds received by the ATA from "Stars Servin' Up Love" on Sunday, February 2, go directly toward this effort. The ATA received 10% of the monies raised for a total of $102,364.25 for distribution.

The ATA partnered with local community partners, NC Tennis, and USTA Southern to help identify and assist in the repair and restoration of tennis facilities impacted by Hurricane Helene.

We set up an application process where applicants submitted their damage assessments and quotes for repair and restoration of their tennis courts with a deadline of June 15 2025 for applications.

We have distributed the fundraising monies as follows to the following eight facilities who applied:

  1. Ashe County Parks $26,650

  2. Creekside Sports Club, Black Mountain $26, 800

  3. Aston Park Tennis Center, Asheville $3,650

  4. Asheville Racquet Club $3,700

  5. Brevard Racquet Club $3,000

  6. Deer Valley Racquet Club, Boone $17,800

  7. Town of Lake Lure $19,000

  8. Town of Black Mountain $864.25

We hope this helps in our long path to Helene recovery and we appreciate these facilities’ determination to recover their courts for the tennis community.
